YOUR LIFE IS NOT DRIED UP YET

Hello there. I hope that you have been well these past two weeks. Let me just start off by saying, ‘I love how the Holy Spirit works!’ Today I was really yearning for something new to share on my blog and somebody was sent my way with such a powerful word. So I will deviate a bit from my planned post and hopefully the same will be ready by next week. Also today’s blackout was a blessing in disguise, because I would have been so engrossed in work that I wouldn’t have the time to quietly complete this post. So get your cup of tea or coffee to batter the cold and let’s dig in.

John 5:4-9 [KJV]

4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

There are so many different lessons and revelations that one can get from one portion of scripture. The more you listen to and meditate on any scripture, the deeper you understand it. Most of the time it is God using the Rhema word to speak into your situation. This is one such portion that I have learnt so much from. A story is told of an invalid who had been in this condition for 38 years. This man had spent almost four decades in crisis. Can you imagine that? In that period of time in today’s world, someone would have been born, grown up, graduated, married and had kids! When you’ve been in such a situation for that long, your purpose could be blurred, hope might have been lost after losing an opportunity that you long for time and again. The word says that an angel stirred the water at a given season and whoever jumped in first was healed of their disease. This occurrence did not happen that often. Seasons are not specific to years or weeks. Some seasons once passed might come back around even after ten years. Thus anyone who was hoping to be the first to jump in had to be sensitive and be ever alert because the angel could come at any time.

But…Jesus came along and saw him. This guy had been not lost hope. Maybe every time someone jumped in before him, he moved closer and closer to the pool and refused to give in. When Jesus asked him “Do you want to get well?” he started giving his story but Jesus cut him off and told him to get up and in that instant he was healed. We might be so caught up in our problems that we just start talking too much about what has been happening when help finally comes our way. If not careful, our subconscious might get so adapted to that new low that the possibility of normalcy seems ridiculous. Constantly speak hope to yourself, constantly remind yourself that the low you are currently in is not what God has planned for you. We have to be specific when God asks us what we want. God knows your situation and that’s why He has made or makes that visit.

This man’s situation shows how sometimes it is only God that can understand what you are going through. People might be around you but are unable to help. Medicine might be available but only God holds your healing! So stop focusing on people and focus on God as your deliverer. A similar account is found where the woman who had the issue of blood for 12 years was healed the instant she touched Jesus’ cloak.

Luke 8:43-44 [NIV]

43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her.

44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

Your restoration can only come when you connect yourself to the life-giver. Restoration comes when your mindset changes to believe that with God, anything is possible. When you become connected, it no longer matters how many years found you in dryness and despair because just like Ezekiel you can prophecy to your situation and it will come together and live again.

Ezekiel 37:2-3 [NIV]

2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”

Needless to say, your situation has not gone as far as you being dead, and years being rotten and eaten away to the point of becoming very dry bones. You are not yet cut down, and if you are, you can sprout again. All you need is a scent of water, all you need is to hope again in God.

Job 14:7-9 [NIV]

7 “At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail.

8 Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil,

9 yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.

KNOWLEDGE FOR CREATION

Pretty strange to publish blog posts on two consecutive days…huh? Well, I figured this was too long a post for social media and I wanted to share as soon as I could. My energy tonight has been at crazy extremes and my spirit is just too excited for the new beginnings rising out of this year.

So yesterday (1/8/2017) the Holy Spirit tagged at my heart to take a walk back to town from Upper Hill, just a silent walk, no earphones blazing cool tunes which I rarely move without. Well, I thought the walk was just because it did not make a big difference between walking and hitching a bus ride since there was so much traffic at that late evening hour and I would literally get to town at the same time while walking as those KBS buses. However, by the time I got to the streets of Nairobi,, the reason was quite clear and I could focus on the seed that He planted in me. Sometimes the Holy Spirit just longs for time alone with you, avail yourself to Him.

With every new year, we tend to go with the flow of the new year’s excitement, then just hold onto hope that the year will be better than the last one. You gotta change how you do things to see a different result. Get in line and make 2018 instead of waiting for the year to be favourable to you; gaining new knowledge with every beginning, with every new dawn. Then with the knowledge gained, create; bring to reality what others cannot grasp with their mere thoughts.

I am a silent person by nature. That is just part of my character built over many years. I listen for long periods of time before I give my say and most times if the conversation is not directed at me I might not utter a word. Silence keeps one from trouble is a good proverb ? Am not really an introvert but an ambivert. I tend to talk more when the conversation is natural and I love extroverts who complement my character though if you keep talking too much and repeating the same point over and over yet I understood it two minutes ago, I will get bored and run away from you ??? I am sorry if I you are on my unconscious list of MARK AND AVOID but that is just me, you have somebody else out there for you ?. and I do enjoy events where I can socialize and have fun with friends.

So all that explanation on silence was just to bring you to the reason for the behind this post. Someone one year back, while in a group setting mentioned that I possess a lot of lessons to share with people but I do not. It got me thinking I should share more…and now ta..da the season is here. It is amazing how God can work on you consistently until you grow to where He desires you to be. This was just a reminder of what had began one year ago.

So, this year I plan to learn something new everyday to empower my creative being. Some lessons will definitely be flashbacks to secrets and principles I previously overlooked. I will be sharing across social media (Follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @phoenixthadj) some of the lessons that I have learnt in the past as well as those that I will learn over 2018 using the hashtag #KnowledgeForCreation. I do not promise to share daily, some lessons may just be for my own personal growth.

Am grateful for my spiritual father Prophete Joel Lutuka. He has worked to achieve such great spiritual levels and has become an amazing example of how much one can enjoy life in Christ. I have indeed learned a lot from him directly or indirectly. My sharing will be based on what the Holy Spirit drops in me during this season of grace. Aye, you are most welcome to engage me. Happy learning!
